Welcome to goodHealthinfo.netS MODERN MEDICINE becomes more technological and expensive, it's easy to lose sight of the simple principles underlying good health. This site contains information on holistic healing methods related to internal energy and the concept of balance. These are essential components of health but are still not widely recognized as such in the West.

The section on Holistic Self-Defense contains pages on chi kung ("energy practice") techniques that can be used to open energy blockages and increase vitality; the importance of how the energy in food affects our physical and emotional health; why the ostensible "dangers of soy" are a myth; and a meditation technique for physical and spiritual health. It also includes a section on frequency and energy techniques

The Cancer section, in addition to information on "A Holistic Approach to Cancer" and "What I Learned from Cancer," contains articles on the FDA's attempts to suppress holistic remedies for cancer and other illnesses.

Macrobiotic Dietary Recommendations is a booklet by Michio and Aveline Kushi that further discusses the ideas behind energy in food.

The Radiation pages describe the hazards of microwave radiation and ways to avoid the increasing amounts of electromagnetic radiation to which we're exposed.

In addition to diet, herbs are also important. A whole-food diet helps us stay balanced but is often not enough. In the Seven Herbalists Speak section, seven Boston-area herbalists discuss their approaches to finding and correcting imbalances in the body’s energy, using herbs (including homeopathic remedies and essential oils), muscle testing, and, in some cases, iridology.

I would like to express my appreciation to the herbalists interviewed in these pages, as well as teachers from whom I have learned about holistic healing, particularly Michio Kushi, Mantak Chia, and Thomas Tam. My thanks also to the Southwest School of Botanical Medicine, for its collection of herbal art (www.swsbm.com), from which the images that appear here are taken.
